A Threesome Romantic Valentines at Clark City in Angeles

Philippine Airlines opened a new route to Clark, from Cebu, and offered an introductory price that is so irresistible that the 3 of us, without any hesitation, succumbed. Furthermore, it was also the time of the year where Angeles city holds its annual Hot Air Balloon festival, where one of its day’s activities happens to fall a day or two before Valentine’s.

We got our round-trip ticket, via Philippine Airlines, for only PHP 2,296.00 per person, and this already included the terminal fee for Mactan Cebu International Airport.

Day 1: Sunday, February 12, 2017

Just as usual, we always met at a place where we can have a quick breakfast, and so all of us can go to the Airport in the same cab/car. This time, we met at Chowking, at Fuente Osmena, Cebu City. But, we made sure not to drink anything that has caffeine, because we are a Starbucks fanatic, and we’d like to hang around at a Starbucks near the check in area of AirAsia, inside the airport.

Clark International Airport to SM City Clark

And, just as everyone expected, we arrived at Clark International Airport, Clark Field, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. Going to SM City Clark is easy, and the option that we took was an air-conditioned jeepneys that was parked just right after you exit the Airport Arrival terminal. Although it wasn’t that far, the fare cost PHP 50.00 each.

We went to SM City Clark to have lunch and to leave our bags for safe keeping. One of us have a Prestige membership, and so we went straight to this lounge to deposit our bags and freshen up. There are a lot of restaurant options available and we choose one that was not available in Cebu – Reyes Barbecue.

Reyes Barbecue, SM City Clark

If you are too hungry, we would definitely suggest checking out another fast-food/restaurant, because the order taking that we experienced was just “super” slow. It seemed like they still need to build-up a system of efficiency, or it could just be a cultural thing since the Angeles appeared to be a laid-back place. On the other hand, their barbecue was really delicious, and they also have this “oily” sauce that you can put on your rise for an added flavor.

SM City Clark to Duty Free Shop

Since we still have a lot of time, we visited one of the Duty Free stores and did a little shopping and grocery for our night trip (by bus) going to Baguio. We were a little shocked since we didn’t expect how different their Duty Free stores are compared to what we have here in Cebu or wht they have in Manila. Theirs looked like a big warehouse and a little old. But the look and feel of the building was not really an issue, since we got what we needed and we were totally happy with what we bought. I got myself a sturdy backpack for only PHP 690.00 or so. The jeepneys fare from SM City Clark to Pure Gold Duty Free shop only cost PHP 13.00 per person.
