All rooms must have been fully booked the day before, hence we cannot check-in earlier than 2PM. So, instead, we left and went to a mall in Danao to do a little grocery and fill in our bucket with some ice cubes and different flavored beers. And before going back to the resort, we had our lunch at Mang Inasal, just in front of the mall’s entrance. And, YES! You can bring in some bottle of beers, with no corkage as long as it is less than a case.
We occupied 2 standard rooms and a family room. Their standard room can comfortably fit 2 persons, while the family room can adequately fit 2 adults and a teenager. The amenities kit contains a small bottle of lotion and 2 Personal Care Kits that includes a toothpaste, toothbrush, a small bar soap, and a sachet of shampoo. The toilet and bathroom is small yet very clean and appears to be well maintained.
The room has a small cabinet, and inside is an umbrella for you to use especially during high noon. The bed was just okay and the TV’s cable reception is very good. They are using a traditional key, which is an advantage so that you can keep the “air-con” on to keep the room cool all throughout the day, as it appeared the room was installed with only a .5 HP air-conditioning system. The resort also has a standby electric generator for power outages that rarely occurs.
The resort employs nice and friendly staffs. We were even allowed to start consuming our beers inside Elsa Spa since we booked it all for ourselves for the entire night. And as soon as we’re done with the massage, we transferred to the small beach front to finish what’s left of our sleep potions.
The restaurant is cozy and its open space is refreshing. They have a lot of dishes to choose from and if you are not a sweet tooth, I wouldn’t recommend the “back ribs” as it was just too sweet, and for breakfast; their crisp yummy bacon is a must try.
The hotel has 2 swimming pools and a Jacuzzi, and if you’re in for a dip, don’t forget to bring your bathing suits and nylon trunks/shorts, since this is required in the main pool.
When we checked-out and went back to the city the next day, it felt as if I was out for full 3 days. Definitely, this vacation is worth every penny spent, and without doubt, a good getaway from the city life without having to travel for hours. The resort accepts all major credit cards including Amex.
