Experience a great view of one of Japan’s majestic mountains through Hakone Komagatake Ropeway that also provides tourist and locals an easy access through its cable cars.
According to the write up, this is the 2nd highest mountain after Mt. Kamiyama, and its summit is said to be a festival ground for the gods. Mt Komagatake is 1327m above sea level, therefore low-lying cloud formations can easily surround the place within just few seconds to couple of minutes.
Visiting this festive mountain is best when the sky is clear, so you could have a good view of the magnificent Mt Fuji.
Feel free to go around the mountain, and pick up some edible wild berries. And, if it gets too foggy and the visibility becomes just a few feet away; do not worry, just follow the track and it would lead you back the building. And if you cannot stand the cold anymore – hot refreshments are available at the vending machine inside.
